Formula and methodology
Formula: strips = ceil(perimeter / rollWidth); perRoll = floor(rollLength / height); rolls = ceil(strips / perRoll).
Counts full-height strips around the room, strips each roll yields, then rolls to cover. Each stage rounds against the buyer: up for needs, down for yield.
This result follows the calculator's declared inputs, precision, validation boundaries, and model limits.
Input contract
- Wall perimeter — ft; minimum 0; maximum 1000000000
- Wall height — ft; minimum 0; maximum 1000000000
- Roll width — ft; minimum 0; maximum 1000000
