Formula and methodology
Formula: Panel run = fence length − gate count × gate width; panels = ceiling((panel run ÷ panel length) × (1 + allowance/100)); posts = panels + end/corner posts + gate count; material total = panels × panel cost + posts × post cost + gates × gate cost; installation scenario = fence length × installation rate; project total = material total + installation scenario.
