Formula and methodology
Formula: Fuel (L) = distance x consumption / 100; cost = fuel x price.
Fuel use scales linearly with distance at a constant consumption rate. Multiplying the required litres by the price per litre gives the estimated fuel cost for the trip.
This result follows the calculator's declared inputs, precision, validation boundaries, and model limits.
