Formula and methodology
Formula: Trapezoid base area = (base one + base two) × trapezoid height ÷ 2; right-prism volume = trapezoid base area × prism length.
A right prism keeps the same trapezoid cross-section along its length. The calculator first finds the two-dimensional base area, then extends that area through the prism length. It intentionally does not invent the sloping leg lengths or total surface area because volume needs only the parallel bases, perpendicular base height, and extrusion length.

- The result is a geometric volume and does not convert to litres, gallons, mass, or capacity without a unit convention.
