Formula and methodology
Formula: Order the values; Q3 is the median of the upper half after excluding the overall median when the count is odd; IQR = Q3 − Q1.
The page makes the data-ordering convention visible instead of hiding it behind a single percentile setting. It reports Q3 together with Q1, the median, and IQR so the upper-quarter result can be checked in context.
