Formula and methodology
Formula: UTF-8 encode the input into bytes; represent each byte as two uppercase hexadecimal digits.
A character count and a byte count are not always the same. UTF-8 uses one to four bytes per Unicode scalar value, so the converter reports both the encoded bytes and the original code-point count.
