Formula and methodology
Formula: Annual gross = hourly rate x hoursPerWeek x weeksPerYear; monthly average = annual / 12; paid-week gross = annual / weeksPerYear; hourly equivalent = annual / (hoursPerWeek x weeksPerYear).
The same total annual gross pay is expressed over different periods. Monthly pay is an annual average, while paid-week pay uses only the paid weeks entered, so it is not automatically annual pay divided by 52. Changing paid hours or weeks changes the hourly-to-annual conversion without applying any employment law.

Assumptions and limits
- The hours and weeks are user-selected paid time, with a constant gross rate and no overtime multiplier, bonus, or commission.
- This is gross pay, not take-home pay; deductions, taxes, benefits, and jurisdiction-specific labor rules are not modeled.
- Use any one currency. A monthly figure is annual gross divided by 12, not a prediction of a particular payroll calendar.
