Formula and methodology
Formula: Convert mass to pounds and power to horsepower; elapsed time ET = Kₜ(W/P)^(1/3) and trap speed V = Kᵥ(P/W)^(1/3). Huntington uses Kₜ=6.290 and Kᵥ=224, Fox uses 6.269 and 230, and Hale uses 5.825 and 234.
This page is a first-order performance comparison, not a vehicle simulation. The selected historical correlation turns a power-to-weight ratio into an estimated quarter-mile elapsed time and finish-line speed. It keeps the correlation choice visible, accepts metric or imperial entries, and names the real factors it omits: launch traction, gearing, tire behavior, aerodynamics, drivetrain loss, shifting, weather, surface, and driver response.

After conversion to about 3,527 lb and 402 hp, the Fox correlation estimates roughly 12.93 s and 111.5 mph (179.5 km/h).
Assumptions and limits
- Vehicle weight includes the driver, fuel, and other mass that participates in the run; engine power is treated as peak power at the engine or clutch reference used by the correlation.
- The three correlations are empirical fits expressed with weight in pounds and power in horsepower; metric inputs are converted before the fit is evaluated.
- The result assumes a standard quarter-mile comparison and does not model a 1,000-foot track, a different distance, or a time-varying power curve.
- Traction, launch, gear ratios, tire slip, aerodynamic drag, drivetrain losses, elevation, temperature, and reaction time can materially change a real pass.
- The estimated trap speed is not a safe-road speed recommendation and the result does not certify a vehicle, track, or driver setup.
- Use measured track data and qualified motorsport procedures for real performance decisions; treat this output as an educational estimate.
