Formula and methodology
Formula: For each category i, shareᵢ = valueᵢ/Σvalue, percentageᵢ = 100×shareᵢ, and angleᵢ = 360×shareᵢ degrees.
A pie chart allocates one complete circle among categories. This calculator first totals the entered values, then converts each category into the fraction of that total and the corresponding central angle. The values remain in their entered order so a visitor can pair the rows with labels from a separate worksheet or chart legend.
This result follows the calculator's declared inputs, precision, validation boundaries, and model limits.

Assumptions and limits
- Values are finite nonnegative quantities measured on a common basis.
- The total must be positive; a list of all zero values has no defined shares.
- The input order is preserved, but category names are not inferred from numbers.
- Percentages sum to 100 percent up to display rounding and angles sum to 360 degrees up to display rounding.
- A pie chart is most interpretable when categories are mutually exclusive parts of one whole.
- The result does not judge whether a pie chart is the best visualization for the data.
