Formula and methodology
Formula: base sheets=pages×copies/sides; order sheets=ceil(base×(1+waste/100)); reams=order sheets/500.
The page count is separated from the number of physical sheets. One-sided and two-sided printing therefore produce different procurement quantities, while waste is rounded up to a whole sheet.
