Formula and methodology
Formula: MAD = median(|xi - median(x)|).
The median absolute deviation measures typical distance from the sample median and is less sensitive to extreme observations than standard deviation. This page reports the raw MAD and does not silently apply a normal-distribution consistency factor.
This result follows the calculator's declared inputs, precision, validation boundaries, and model limits.
