Formula and methodology
Formula: Marginal revenue over the interval = (total revenue after − total revenue before) ÷ (quantity after − quantity before).
This page reports average revenue gained or lost per additional unit across two supplied observations. It uses total revenue directly, so it does not assume a particular demand curve or reconstruct revenue from a price that may change with quantity. In a continuous model, marginal revenue is the derivative of total revenue; here the finite interval is explicit.
