Formula and methodology
Formula: Average illuminance in lux = total lumens / area in square metres.
Lux measures luminous flux per unit area. This estimate divides total nominal lumens by area and does not model fixture distribution, beam angle, reflectance, glare, daylight, or electrical code requirements.
This result follows the calculator's declared inputs, precision, validation boundaries, and model limits.
