Formula and methodology
Formula: Daily GDU = max(0,(high+low)/2−base); cumulative GDU = daily GDU×days.
The daily average is compared with the base and negative contributions are clipped at zero before accumulation.
This result follows the calculator's declared inputs, precision, validation boundaries, and model limits.
