Formula and methodology
Formula: Converted frequency = value x cycles per second per source unit / cycles per second per target unit.
Hertz means cycles per second, so prefixes scale by powers of 1000. Revolutions per minute are converted by dividing by 60 when one revolution represents one cycle. The converter keeps frequency separate from angular velocity, which would use radians per second and a different physical interpretation.
