Formula: EBT = net income + income-tax expense or benefit.
EBT, also called pre-tax income in many statements, places the tax line back above net income. This separate page makes it easier to distinguish EBT from EBIT: EBT reverses tax, while EBIT reverses both tax and interest adjustments.
