Formula and methodology
Formula: r = sum((x-xbar)(y-ybar)) / sqrt(sum((x-xbar)^2) * sum((y-ybar)^2)).
r ranges from -1 to +1 and measures linear association strength and direction. A constant list has no defined correlation and is rejected.
This result follows the calculator's declared inputs, precision, validation boundaries, and model limits.
