Formula and methodology
Formula: Boxes per axis=floor(container axis ÷ matching box axis); total boxes=product of the three axis counts; utilization=total box volume ÷ container volume × 100.
The page is deliberately an auditable single-orientation packing estimate. It does not claim to solve mixed-orientation 3D bin packing; selecting each rotation and comparing the results lets a visitor inspect the simple rectangular cases without hiding a heuristic.

Assumptions and limits
- The container and every box are rectangular cuboids measured in the same unit.
- Boxes are identical, axis-aligned, and placed without overlap; no mixed orientation or nesting is inferred.
- The result ignores wall thickness, doors, pallet structure, clearances, crush limits, mass limits, and carrier rules.
- A zero result means the selected orientation cannot place even one box along at least one container axis.
