Formula and methodology
Formula: Mass concentration = solute mass / solution volume; molarity = solute mass / (molar mass × solution volume).
Mass concentration and molarity use the same final-solution volume but different numerators: grams for the former and moles for the latter. Supplying molar mass makes the conversion explicit instead of confusing grams per liter with moles per liter.
