Formula and methodology
Formula: CxHy + (x+y/4)O2 → xCO2 + (y/2)H2O; supplied oxygen = theoretical oxygen × (1 + excess/100).
The model is a complete-combustion stoichiometric baseline for a hydrocarbon with no oxygen in the fuel formula.

Assumptions and limits
- The fuel is represented only by CxHy and complete combustion produces only CO2 and H2O.
- The reaction is stoichiometric at the mole level; the oxygen allowance is a planning scenario, not a measured exhaust result.
- Incomplete combustion, fuel impurities, nitrogen oxides, heat release, flame conditions, and emissions compliance are not modeled.
