Formula and methodology
Formula: Estimated cloud-base height = (air temperature−dew point)/lapse rate.
The estimate uses a simple temperature-dew-point spread relation to approximate the height at which rising air reaches saturation.
This result follows the calculator's declared inputs, precision, validation boundaries, and model limits.
