Formula and methodology
Formula: Map degree n to the selected seven-note scale, then use the diatonic quality pattern: major [M,m,m,M,M,m,dim] or natural minor [m,dim,M,m,m,M,M].
Roman numerals describe chord degree relative to a key, while capitalization commonly distinguishes major and minor triads. This tool resolves a deliberately bounded progression syntax into chord names and preserves the entered sequence order.
