Formula and methodology
Formula: Cash ratio = (cash + cash equivalents) / current liabilities.
The cash ratio compares the narrowest liquid resources entered on the page with current liabilities. It adds cash and cash equivalents, then divides by current liabilities. Unlike a current ratio, it does not include receivables or inventory, and it does not decide whether a result is adequate.
This result follows the calculator's declared inputs, precision, validation boundaries, and model limits.

- Cash — Cash amount at the selected date.; minimum 0; maximum 1000000000000
- Cash equivalents — Short-term highly liquid equivalents included by your records.; minimum 0; maximum 1000000000000
- Current liabilities — Current obligations in the same currency and date.; minimum 0; maximum 1000000000000
