Formula: Net capital gain = sale price − transaction costs − purchase price; capital-gains yield = net gain ÷ purchase price × 100.
This calculator isolates the price-change component of a holding-period result. It shows how entered selling costs change the gain, while leaving taxes, dividends, financing, currency conversion, and other distributions outside the model.
