Formula and methodology
Formula: Horizontal FOV = 2 arctan(sensor width/(2 × focal length)).
The pinhole-camera model uses the sensor half-width and focal length to find the angle subtended by the sensor.
This result follows the calculator's declared inputs, precision, validation boundaries, and model limits.
