Formula and methodology
Formula: Estimated servings = floor(cake length × cake width / area per serving).
The estimate divides a rectangular cake’s area by the chosen serving-area convention and rounds down to whole servings.
This result follows the calculator's declared inputs, precision, validation boundaries, and model limits.
Input contract
- Cake length — length units; minimum 1.0E-6; maximum 10000
- Cake width — length units; minimum 1.0E-6; maximum 10000
- Area per serving — square units; minimum 1.0E-6; maximum 100000
