Formula and methodology
Formula: Mosteller = √[(height cm × weight kg)/3600]; DuBois = 0.007184 × height^0.725 × weight^0.425; Haycock = 0.024265 × height^0.3964 × weight^0.5378.
The chosen equation is highlighted and all three common estimates are shown for comparison. This makes formula choice explicit because different equations can produce slightly different values, especially outside the populations in which they were developed.
