Formula and methodology
Formula: Align bits from the right and add each column with its carry; the result is the base-2 sum.
BigInt arithmetic is used internally so the displayed text does not silently round large binary integers.
This result follows the calculator's declared inputs, precision, validation boundaries, and model limits.
Input contract
- First binary integer — Use only 0 and 1.
- Second binary integer — Use only 0 and 1.
Worked example
| Input | Value |
|---|---|
| First binary integer | 101101 |
| Second binary integer | 11011 |
Binary sum = 1001000; decimal sum = 72.
Assumptions and limits
- Inputs are nonnegative binary integers with no separators.
- The result is mathematical integer addition without fixed-width overflow.
- Signed encodings, two’s-complement interpretation, and bit width are not inferred.
