Formula and methodology
Formula: Each ingredient mass = meat mass×ingredient percentage/100.
The tool performs recipe scaling only and exposes every percentage so a tested curing method can be entered without inventing a universal cure.
This result follows the calculator's declared inputs, precision, validation boundaries, and model limits.
Input contract
- Meat mass — kg; minimum 1.0E-6; maximum 1000000
- Salt percentage — %; minimum 0; maximum 1000
- Sugar percentage — %; minimum 0; maximum 1000
- Spice percentage — %; minimum 0; maximum 1000
Worked example

- The percentages are supplied by the visitor's selected recipe.
- Pathogen control, nitrite rules, curing time, temperature, storage, and food-safety approval are not modeled.
