Formula and methodology
Formula: Frequency of A = A copies/(A copies+B copies); frequency of B = B copies/total copies.
Allele frequency is the proportion of observed allele copies belonging to each allele in the counted sample. It is a population-genetics summary and does not make a clinical prediction about an individual.
