Formula and methodology
Formula: AHI = (number of apneas + number of hypopneas) ÷ the stated sleep or recording hours.
The page makes the numerator transparent by showing the total scored events and the two event contributions. It uses the entered denominator exactly as labeled and shows broad reference bands without turning them into an individual diagnosis.
